What Does It Mean?

The “Ready to Burn” mark shows that firewood has been properly dried to a moisture content of 20% or less, so it’s safe to use straight away. Since May 2021, it’s been a legal requirement in England for all firewood sold in loads under 2 m³ to carry this certification, giving you confidence that what you’re buying is clean and efficient to burn.

Using dry, certified wood means less smoke, less soot, and fewer harmful emissions, while also protecting your stove or fireplace. It burns hotter, cleaner, and more efficiently—helping you save money, stay safe, and do your bit for cleaner air.
